P1742 CHERY. Shift selector rod motion sensor

P1742 chery. Error description: shift selector sensor. Symptoms: engine off, engine flameout, start failure and gearshift failure engine started, but incapable of upshifting to gear 2. System auto settings can’t be started. Analysis: short-circuit or short-circuit to power supply signal above 4.64V. Open-circuit or short-circuit to grounding wire signal less than 0.29V. Failure of parts or mechanic part failure of clutch speed, or the re-measurement of clutch speed not equals to estimated speed. Solution: incorrect installation during assembly.

Step-by-step instructions for resolving error P1742 CHERY, namely replacement and correct installation of the sensor qr512e-1707015 of the transmission engagement rod, in case of leakage of seals on the rod, consists of the following items:

Item №1. Disconnect the cable (A) from the power sensor qr512e-1707015, loosen the 2 screws (B), remove the sensor (C). During disconnection, the sensor will spring counterclockwise.

Item №2. The shape of the leg of the plastic sensor on which the sensor is mounted has a flat or cylindrical configuration. Depending on this, if the transmission rod is in the central (neutral) position, in the case of flat - the length of the rectangle will be parallel to the base of the hydraulic unit, in the case of cylindrical - the groove will look at the base of the hydraulic unit, see photo below.

Item №3 Align the red mark on the groove of the axle (D) with the red mark on the position sensor qr512e-1707015 (groove on the axle with internal protrusion on the sensor), in the case of a flat leg - the position sensor is also set at an angle, see photo below.

Item №4. Attach the sensor base, and after alignment, rotate the sensor along a straight axis (D) clockwise until aligned with the mounting holes.

Item №5. Secure the motion sensor with two screws. Carry out adaptive gear shifting three times, after adaptive training it is necessary to turn off the ignition for 10-20 seconds.
